The adventure is over
Well after a week of adventure, we're finally home. It's been nuts. Thankfully, we have all day today to recover. Below are a small sampling of pictures from our trip. Start at the bottom! I'm looking for a better place to post these. I really don't want to work too hard! My sister uses blogger and there's an easy picture upload program....so here's your glimpse at our trip!

This is Santa Maria dei Miracoli. The entire church is made of white marble!
Straight ahead you can see the dome of the Basilia di Santa Maria Della Salute.
Ponte di Rialto from the water-bus on the Grand Canal. (It's a big bridge with a mall right on it!)
There were many other panels on the walls of this room. Here's one that appears to be the St Francis receiving the stigmata. You be the judge.
Santa Giulia was a martyr. A convent and church was built in her name in Brescia. There is a beautiful "choir loft" where the nuns would go to participate in worship. The story of the last days of Christ are played out on the walls. It was breath-taking!
